Nursing CEU Requirements

Mandatory Pain Management course
Seven hours of pain management-related CE is required for all physicians, physician assistants, acupuncturists, nurses, nurse practitioners, podiatrists, chiropractors, naturopaths, psychologists, and other health professionals.
One hour must be a course to be provided by the Oregon Pain Management Commission (click here to go to the Pain Commission CE course); the remaining six hours may be taken from an approved provider.
Pain Management for Oregon Nurses and Other Healthcare Professionals

Nursing licenses renew bi-annually, at midnight the day before the nurse's birthday in even-numbered years for nurses born in even-numbered years, and odd-numbered years for nurses born in odd-numbered years.
